A revolving pot rack from a bicycle rim!

Gina Trapani of Lifehacker tells us about a nice looking revolving pan rack made from the rim of a bicycle that was done being used for its original purpose, crash and burn I guess.

used an anchor bolt which has one end threaded with wood threads and one end with machine threads of the same type and size as the threads on the bike rim's axle. Once the anchor bolt was securely driven into the framing wood above the kitchen ceiling, a coupler was threaded onto the machine end of the anchor. Then, the axle of the rim was threaded into that coupler.

You should be sure to mark all threads for depth before assembly. A depth mark on your screw threads will serve as a guide to assure deep enough attachment into the framing wood and within the coupler.

After the rim was securely attached to the coupler, the pots and pans were hung on the rim using simple stainless steel "s" hooks. estimated that the design element cost roughly $15. Now that's using your noggin!
