There are many things that motivate you to be a DIY'er. Saving money, the satisfaction of know you made it yourself and making old things new again. In fact DIY'ers were the original recyclers. - Plastic bottles become science experiments,
- takeout containers can be planters,
- plastic bags can become handbags,
- even packing peanuts can be given new life.
Along these same lines is this project. Using your old and busted bicycle inner tubes to make your own rubber bands. All you need is an old inner tube and a pair of sharp scissors. Then you cut slices out of the non-busted part and you have rubber bands. I found this cool idea at Evil Mad Scientist Laboratories.
Thanks to the evil mad scientists, us original recyclers have yet one more way to reuse and help save the planet.
