This is one of the cheapest and easiest ways to decorate flower pots. You don't have to have an artistic bone in your body, to take on this simple project. Here's how.
Materials
- Terracotta pots, any size
- Outdoor paint
- Stencils and sponges
- Flowers
How to decorate your flower pots
- Remembering that the color will be different when applied to a terracotta pot, choose your paint.
- With a stencil or sponges, (or even freehand) paint your pot.
- Let it dry
- Add soil and your choice of fall flowers
Children can paint with their fingers, or brushes. A couple of years ago we gave handprint pots to Grandma for Mother's day. As for yourself, this will be the cheapest painted pot you'll find and best of all, it will be customized exactly to your design and color preferences.

Excellent post, Francesca! I will put this on my to-do-list so that my little one can help me make one for Gramma for Christmas.
