Back to Basics Products in conjunction with the
Consumer Products Safety Commission has announced a voluntary recall of approximately 10,000 home ice tea brewers stating that the units pose a risk of fire, however no incidents have yet been reported.
The units which were manufactured in China, were sold through
Bon Ton department stores, the
JC Penney catalog and also through hardware stores and Internet retailers. The company states that the problematic tea makers were sold April 2007 through July 2007 and carry the model number # IT400.
Back to Basics is asking that all affected
ice tea makers be returned for exchange or refund. You may contact the manufacturer at
