Almost every single thing on this planet has more that one use. Reusing an item is beneficial to our environment, as that item stays out of our landfills the more we decide to reuse it for something that we just may never have thought of before. Milk jugs, aluminum foil, coffee cans, and even pantyhose can be reused many times before we send it off to the recycling bin.
Yes, I did say pantyhose. Once they're no longer fit to wear, due to snags or runs, they can be reused for many things. Don't even think about throwing them in the garbage until you read this article I found on

A few of my favorites from the article:
- Use the legs to catch all the soap remnants that never seem to get used up.
- Excellent for holding mothballs
- Put the leg of the pantyhose over the end of the vacuum cleaner hose to pick up any small lost item from your carpet or bare floor.
Most of the ideas are new to me, but if you can use them, more power to you. Clean cat litter in old pantyhose truly does seem like an excellent way to eliminate dampness and absorb disgusting odors. Now, if I can just find my old pantyhose, I will have to try these excellent suggestions. What about you?

paul de florio You are in good company - many NFL Football Players used to wear pantyhose for the same reason, at least as clear back as the 70's (when the 'news' leaked out about Miami using them when going to play up north, in the winter) - now the NFL have some Custom Made to look and behave more "manly", but they;re essentially the same.
ReplyYears ago, when my sons were little, I would make stuffed animal toys for them, using scraps from my sewing box and stuffing them with my tattered old panty hose. The best one I ever made was a copy of a drawing that my younger son had done. It was a yellow felt octopus with green tentacles. That one lasted a very long time.

ReplyWhen you get runs in a pair and can no longer wear them, they also make great cat toys. I did this once. My cat had managed to claw my hose and ruined them for me. She just wouldnt leave them alone so i gave up, i tied them over and over again in a a bunch of big thick knots and then tossed them on the floor for her to play with. She LOVED it and played with it nonstop. she liked that she could "pick it up" in her claws and toss it around or carry it around in her mouth. I suppose you can also throw some catnip in there too before you knot the hose, and make a catnip toy. of course, just make sure the cat isnt trying to eat it or tearing off small pieces they can choke on. if that happens then you should throw them away. my cat never did, but it was her favorite toy!
Unless I missed it, I don't think anyone has mentioned using stockings for bondage play.

As a captain in the Army, I arrived to Camp Greaves in the Republic of Korea on the DMZ in 1988 to serve with the 1st Battalion, 506 Infantry Battalion. We were the only unit on the small installation; hence, I was shocked to find that the small PX (post exchange) store stocked pantyhose for an all-male unit. I asked several of my soldiers, and they told me that the troops wore it as an underlining beneath their battle dress uniform in the brutal winters. Needless to say, I was shocked at learning of that alternative use of the woman's product.

I use mine to stick my pantyhosed feet in a guy's face as punishment. We had some irritating male collegues who never stopped touching us and making fun of us. Some day we decided to throw one of them on the ground and rubbed his face with our pantyhosed feet. After that, we never experienced any problems anymore!
