I procrastinate when it comes to buying gifts. I love the people I am buying for, but I just don't have the time to stand in a store aisle wondering whether or not the recipient would like such a gift. I think that is why I am determined to make all my gifts this year.
The recipient of a handmade gift will be very pleased that you thought of them enough to take the time to make something special, rather than wandering aimlessly down store aisles.
JournalStar.com has a list of eleven handmade gifts to make before Christmas arrives. These eleven gifts, including domino magnets, dog biscuits, oven mitts, shaker ornaments, and personalized candles, will be sure to make someone on your gift giving list very happy.
With the list, you should be able to find something
handmade to make that will please even the most hard-to-please gift recipients. Seriously, who doesn't love candles, nuts or chocolate?

I can't wait for the up coming holiday season. I know its a way's out but its never to early to start planning, especially if your like me and plan on doing a 100% handmade Christmas this year. I think with the current economy the way it is we are going to see a resurgence in the popularity of handmade gifts from the heart. I don't know if I will be able to personally make all of my gifts but I've sworn off retail for next Christmas so at the very least I will be looking for unique Christmas gifts at http://www.artfire.com or 1000 Markets. As long as its handmade I don't really feel like its cheating too much, besides I really want to give out some nice soaps this year and that's not something that I can make myself.
ReplyThanks for the great ideas! I think the domino magnet idea is great, that's definitely something I can do myself and I know a few nieces of my who would love them in their stockings.
Adam at http://www.gifts2thedoor.co.uk here. A good one i did once was to send my Mum the usual Christmas card and inside i add that i have subscribed her to an emailed joke on the 1st of each month for the next 12 months. At the beginning of each month i emailed her a new joke. This is a multi purpose gift, 1st and foremost the gift of laughter once a month is a precious gift, 2nd it made her overcome her techno fear and use her compute/emails much more and 3rd it didn’t cost a penny!
