I've been craving a Moroccan pouf ever since I posted
this beautiful entryway on ShelterPop. But the price? Not sure I can justify the cost (from $250-$800!) for a glorified bean bag. Lucky for me, Examiner.com has posted a fantastic tutorial to create my own --- on a budget, of course!
Best part of the entire tutorial? The materials are easy, attainable, and inexpensive:
- 1 sheet of paper that is at least 36" long and 12" wide.
- 1 or 2 ornate party dresses. (The amount of fabric needed will depend on the size of your pouf.)
- A lot of paper, rags, blankets or old duvets for stuffing your pouf.
Totally do-able, right? The tutorial even includes a free pattern, which you can view
right here. With a little sewing know-how, lots of pins and some patience, your pouf can look just as good (if not better!) than the high-end versions. Better yet? It's the perfect way to re-use all of those old bridesmaid dresses in your closet!
