Random Recast: Streamers Day 4

In Random Recast, we find new uses for ordinary things. This week: Streamers.


There's nothing like candlelight to add a little extra ambiance to your party...until the wind snuffs it out. A hurricane lantern solves this problem beautifully, protecting the flame from gusts and breezes. And by hurricane lantern, I mean a typical glass mason jar. To dress up the makeshift lantern, add a few strips of party streamers (held in place with double-stick tape). The thin paper brilliantly diffuses the candlelight into a stained glass-like glow.
