Build a Scratching Post

Take your 15" x 15" carpet piece and cut out a 3.5" x 3.5" notch at the top. Wrap the carpet around the sticky part of the post and fold the top square over the top. Secure the carpet with a stapler. Measure 12 inches from the bottom and score the tape. Peel backing off and apply your 12" x 12" piece of carpet, lining up the seam with the top portion. Secure with a stapler.
