Before the before picture

This is a picture of our kitchen taken by a neighbor about a month before we moved in -- proof that you can give an old house new life. It had been a rental for about a decade, then left vacant for three years while the owner tried to sell it. (The walls aren't crooked, it's just a very bad picture.)
