Problematic prints
These prints aren't so bad that I won't use them, but I scanned them so that you could see some printing technique problems caused by the amount of pressure I used. The print on the left is too dark and inky: some detail and shape is lost. It was the first print I made, so the screen was very inky, and I pressed way too hard. (Compare the horns on the deer/antelope in this print to those on the other and on the animals in the next gallery image. All the others have cleaner edges, wider horns, and more detail.) The card on the right was the second or third card I made: I set the lid down on it, and then barely pressed at all. The top of the card is printed darkly, but the bottom is printed so lightly that the letters aren't even solid.(Apologies about the fact that the cards don't have their proper borders: my scanner will not pick up whitespace around a design.)
