Water is important

All that flapping and you'd be thirsty, too. Butterflies need access to water, but they are unable to drink from deep water. Provide a shallow water source with a landing spot. A saucer with a rock in the middle, like this, works fine. You can also fill a saucer with pebbles or sand.
