Butterfly bush in Spring
Butterfly bush (Buddleia davidii) is a staple of the butterfly garden. It grows big and leggy, with lots of blooms that butterflies love. It's a perennial, so it dies right down in winter and returns in Spring. During the dormant period, cut the whole thing down to the ground. New growth will shoot up in Spring.
