Feb 25th 2011 8:37PM And I do mean Denver, NC, of course.
Feb 25th 2011 8:37PM From what I've heard, the new Target in North Carolina will be located at the disastrous Old Highway 16/73 Intersection (yeah, not the new nightmarish HWY 16/73 Xtion). If you didn't think it was bad enough, boy will you be happy once you've got another major store with an inadequate entrance, exit, and traffic light.
This is how NCDOT works. If there haven't been multiple vehicular deaths at a particular intersection or traffic light, there's no reason to improve it. But they do like traffic barrels here. We've got super lots of them. Want some?
Feb 25th 2011 8:31PM Consider yourself very, very lucky. They're the bane of North Carolinian's existence. We're flooded with them. We'd all rather have independent stores than the substandard garbage WM sell. They create ridiculous amounts of new road traffic, and ruin towns in the process. They welcome the morbidly obese to take up entire aisles while shopping for more Little Debbie's to fulfill their undying appetites.
Target's approaching that point, but is still not as horrific a corporation as Walmart.
Dec 19th 2010 6:49PM "This update" being the SMC Firmware Update 1.4.
Dec 19th 2010 6:48PM I've tried to apply this update 20 times now. It never goes through, and only ever tells me to visit this help page: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2434
Unfortunately, Apple's help suggests me to delete my entire hard drive to apply the update. Please see this screenshot for the error message I get when I attempt to install the update: https://img.skitch.com/20101218-nr16axami43u9m2px85hjq7hsu.jpg
The help topic for my issue, which is clearly shared by enough people to warrant a topic on Apple.com, also suggests that I changed something in my computer to run it a different way, which I'd never even be able to do.
What's the workaround that Apple is not telling their customers? I don't understand their suggestions, and just want to apply the update so that I'm never prompted to update my SMC Firmware again.
This issue has been pestering me for months now, and I badly need help, in terms I would understand, considering I never changed my computer (bought new) to a "non-standard partition scheme". Following the instructions, I was able to see that my computer is already set to "GUID Partition Table", as they require for the update.
Nov 22nd 2010 7:50PM Hey, Wizards of Waverly Place is in this! The actress, Wizards of Waverly Place. She's in the movie! Acting. Cool!
May 15th 2010 7:46PM Has anyone found any video apps that even come close to this one? All the networks should've followed their lead by now... The HD eps are just beautiful on the iPad (even though the interspersed commercials are 180p or something).
I need more apps like the ABC Player, and Netflix to justify my purchase of the Pad.
Mar 10th 2010 10:46PM The whole Subway thing was over the line this week. I understand product placement, but don't try and fake it. The Biggest Loser always pushes the Stride gum too hard, but when you go to the lengths of making a guy say "I forgot my lunch... but wait - there was a Subway right across the street - the same one we visit every other week from camp! What a lifesaver!" ... that's when you've gone way too far.
They should have instead shown the dismay on Sam's face when the price came up on the register at Subway. That's worth going to McDonald's instead ANY day.
Mar 3rd 2010 10:50PM "Placeholder" isn't exactly how I'd sell my TV show, but I guess that's how much stock they're putting in it.
Clone Wars has been pretty great... it has made me much more of a Star Wars fan than I was after watching all of the films. If they could make something half as interesting, funny, or well animated, as Clone Wars, then I'd watch.
Somehow though, I can't imagine anything other than MAX STEEL 2.0. Tell me you don't think that when looking at your "placeholder" screengrab.
Mar 2nd 2010 7:35PM 4 cities. Gallagher has longer frickin tours.
