Sep 23rd 2009 9:30PM WHEN GETTING A BOX FOR LEFTOVERS, I ALWAYS ASK FOR THE BOX TO DO IT MYSELF BECAUSE....ONCE I ASKED TO TAKE MY LEFTOVER PRIME RIB HOME & WHEN IT CAME BACK FROM THE KITCHEN, IT HAD RICE ALL OVER IT & I HAD HAD A BAKED POTATO. I NEVER ALLOWED MY FOOD BACK IN THE KITCHEN AGAIN.

Self-Satisfied New Yorker Cover Fails

Jul 15th 2008 2:17PM I am a "used to be" reader of The New Yorker. I guess because I'm not actually a New Yorker, per se, I never did get the "humor" of the magazine. This cover doesn't seem to be as much satire as it is mean-spirited. It's one thing to pointedly make fun of the president, it's another thing when you pick out one candidate to make a tasteless joke of him.

Jan 3rd 2008 3:19PM I love soy milk, but since I am not allergic to cow's milk I often add a rounded teaspoon of powdered milk to a glass of soy. This gives the soy a richer, thicker taste and gives me extra vitamins and calcium.

Jan 3rd 2008 3:15PM Milk is good for cleaning ALL plants. It will leave your pothos ivy and corn plants all glossy and shiny. Just wipe each leaf with either a cotton ball or a soft cloth dipped in milk.
