One in Three Women Won't Leave House Without Makeup On, Study Says

Jan 16th 2011 9:37PM Tiffany: Not everyone is born and blessed with natural beauty. For instance, if a woman's eyes are her best feature, mascara lightly applied can enhance her eyes and call attention to her best feature.

Gee, wouldn't it be nice if all women were born naturally beautiful and wouldn't need mascara and lipstick to enhance and call attention to their best facial features? LOL.

The Next Big Idea? BrewDog, Where Beer Meets Taxidermy

Aug 9th 2010 3:30PM Ebreit is right. The beer is kind of a novelty idea but using dead animals to sell beer is a sick idea. Calling this beer "The End of History" links it to apocalyptic events. I know it's just a marketing gimmick and is tongue-in-cheek, and isn't supposed to be taken seriously, but it's in bad taste. Which makes me think the beer probably tastes bad, too.

Report: Tonya Harding Marries Again

Jul 4th 2010 6:07PM I wish Tonya Harding only the best.

Miniature Schnauzer 101 - Dog Breed Info

Jun 22nd 2010 11:59AM Mini Schanuzers are a lovable breed of dog. My neighbor owns two of them and though the dogs are loyal and good watch dogs, the salt'n' pepper min-schnauzer she owns has the most shrill bark that reverberates around the neighborhood. And even though we all are dog lovers, that particular mini-schanuzer has the loudest shrill bark.. I have heard even our mellow neighbors complain aloud about that particular loud shrill bark :) So, again it all depends on the individual dog within the breed.

Taylor Swift Honored at Songwriters Hall of Fame Ceremony

Jun 19th 2010 3:24PM Congratulations to Taylor Swift. She deserves the award. Taylor's songwriting does capture the song buying public with her lyrics that many of us can relate to. The messages in many of her songs such as Love Story and You Belong to me are both simple, yet straightforward, truthful and relatable to the angst that all of us go through.

To her detractors, everyone has a different opinion and taste, but you can't argue with success. To date, Taylor Swift has sold over 10 million albums worldwided. Can't argue with 10 million of us who enjoy her songs, auto-tuned in the studio or not. It is about the lyrics.

Diane Falanga's 'P.S. I Hate It Here!' Helps Homesick Kids Adjust to Camp

Jun 15th 2010 5:06PM Not Funny! Won't buy homesick kids book.

Laughing at a child who is unhappy at camp, not funny. Not funny about a child wanting a gun.

Does she laugh at everything children do? Where does parenting come into her role as parent or does it?

Writing a book and exploiting a child's misgivings and feelings at being at a camp, Not funny.

Funny is misadventures where no one is laughing at another's pain.

Design Drool: Black and White Done Right

Mar 26th 2010 8:18PM Black and white can be classy in decorating. It is a matter of taste and adding a few bright splashes of color. I love black, white and gold. Subtle with the gold, a gold plush pillow or two on the sofa. Or a painting with a gold frame. Subtle accent pieces in warm autumn hues can warm and brighten a room.

Kasich Maintains Lead Over Strickland in Ohio Governor Race

Feb 9th 2010 3:52PM Inheriting the Bush economics with All Americans feeling the high unemployment, George W. Bush, Jr's allowing federal agencies to do away with banking regulations, we are all paying now, while Republicans blame Obama for inheriting the mess that Bush economics left behind.

Bush Jr adopted an aggressively neoliberal economic policy. Wealthy Americans received more than $1.6 trillion in tax cuts. No wonder the corporate welfare profiteers for the rich miss Bush:) In 2003, Republican President George W. Bush, Jr.'s Republican administration allowed federal agencies to do away with 9,000 pages of banking regulations.

Bush chose former Republican congressman and devout free marketeer, Christopher Cox to "police" Wall Street. His Securities and Exchange Commission failed to both regulate and catch Bernard Madoff's $50 billion fraud.

In Bush, Jr's final months, George W. Bush, jr felt obliged to approve bail-outs for AIG, General Motors, Chrysler and scores of financial institutions. His former advisers admit that the looming threat of a credit meltdown had eluded them :) Yah right.

"There is no question we did not recognise the severity of the problems," Al Hubbard, chief economics adviser to the White House until 2007, told the New York Times and he has some freezers to sell in Palin's Alaska too and a bridge-to-nowhere for anyone interested.

For the incoming president, keeping the US afloat is a challenge. Barack Obama is planning a $775bn economic recovery package but warns of "trillion dollar deficits" for years to come.

Despite Hasty Exit, Peyton Manning Still Class Act

Feb 9th 2010 3:12PM A class act is grace under pressure. Shaking hands with the winners is a part of civility, good manners and good sportsmanship.

A hasty retreat is not a class act under pressure. It looks like Manning is sore at losing the game due to his pass being intercepted and that got in the way of congratulating the fellow victors and friend, Drew Brees. No excuses. If it isn't okay for Lebron then it is not okay for anyone else, including Manning :)

Letterman Wanted Coco For Super Bowl Commercial

Feb 8th 2010 9:53PM Would have been funnier if Coco was standing behind Leno making bunny ears behind Leno's head and saying out loud "no hard feelings Jay",while Leno is preoccupied eating chips on the sofa with Oprah and Letterman.
