Nov 9th 2011 12:29PM Taking something that is not yours from another person's home is stealing. The plumber is an honest, normal man. The Bible commands us not to steal from any other man...even those of another religion.
What does the Koran tell us about stealing from an 'infidel' ?
I rest my case....
Sep 10th 2011 12:23PM You picked the wrong name to log in with.... a person who loves dogs does not wish harm on any dog. An APBT or Staffordshire terrier are breeds well established and known for their loyalty and good nature.
Your ignorance is obvious to anyone who has read about and/or handled a 'bully breed'. You omitted that all but one of the Michael Vick dogs were rehabilitated and adopted... but you already have your bias established.
May 16th 2011 9:25AM The angry accusations at professional MMA fighters has nothing to do with the fighters. Anybody can throw insults. Guys who were sportsmen from grammar school little league up through college athletics seldom do this outburst nonsense.
Fighting and training for it, or even practice at a dojo for sport and self defense, carries risk and occasional injuries. Pro fighters train as hard as they fight in the cage. They are going to get injured. Their bodies are harder and more resilient than ours, but they are not machines and they are not kids to be scolded for 'copping out' by fellows who didn't learn sportsmanship.
May 11th 2011 5:52PM 'All the fuss' you are wondering about is why, once again, Obama has chosen still another person who writes and speaks about blaming America. It was Jeremiah Wright who said 'God damn America', Van Jones the avowed communist and now this guy. clearly this president is decidely out of step with most Americans. And they don't like him the more they see of him (which is every day!).
Apr 26th 2011 11:30AM Smart man... whether he is well educated in school or not. They are two different but overlapping situations.
Keep showing and telling others that being a man (young guy coming into adulthood or already there) does not require one to make excuses for being male in answer to someone's snarky remarks.
Women and girls admire a man (young or adult) who acts like a man: self esteem, doesn't tolerate insults, accepts his shortcomings and doesn't parade them, and looks for females who are working at being 'real' and who discard childish habits and sarcasm.
Apr 26th 2011 11:24AM Maybe the boys are not concerned if the girlfriend can 'pain circles around them' becasue the boys are smart enough to know it's not a contest. Your attitude is just what demoralizes some boys: an adult female who shames them for lack of skill in some area of life.
An adult woman would encourage the boys and girls to help each other work together to improve their overlapping and sdeparate skills.... just like real adult parents who are normal do.
Apr 26th 2011 11:18AM It should not surprise anyone if fewer men are 'handy'. The boys' fathers have been struggling to make ends meet and do not have time to spend with sons in the home, divorce rates rising (leaving the kids with mom who seldom can do physical tool-related skills), and television shows and commercials that portray adult men and young men as incompetent goofs who are chided and scolded by a wife or girlfriend. Add to it the exodus of physical and technical jobs to overseas manufacturing and what are you left with?
And that's just what a socialistic government wants: learned helplessness with less resistance. And has it gotten better or worse since dems took over congress and the presidency since 2006?
Apr 25th 2011 8:28PM Anderson Silva is 38; yes. And he is a champion who is one of the few most dangerous MMA guys in the world. To compare him to Batista who is 4 years older and was NEVER an MMA fighter is stupid. Get real.
Apr 13th 2011 10:51AM I worked in rescue groups over the years and their criteria in my town is stricter than in the past. Here is my educated guess:
A dog tested today for heartworms may not show positive. Weeks or months later it will because the microfilaria are not detectable until a certain point in development.
Te rescue group took back the dog becasue you didn't want to keep it. They want adopters who will get the dog treated, at the rescue rate offered by the doctors, and then the dog is the responsibility of the family. You didn't try to work out an arrangement, but rather treated a dog like an object and wanted a refund. You were brushed off, regardless of how you view it as 'fair or not, because the rescue groups are trying on a shoestring budget to care for and adopt out a lot of dogs.
Remember this: rescue groups are not there for you. They are there because people will not care for their dogs, have family emergencies and cannot afford their care, or other reasons. The rescue volunteers are not running a business... they are looking out for the DOGSD... and you can take care of yourself.
Mar 30th 2011 12:24PM Dana White is about making money and does not want a sucker punch to undercut his BIG cash cow enterprise. It's not personal... it's business!
