Jun 6th 2012 11:01PM This has nothing to do with constitutional rights. You signed a lease agreement. Fly the darn flags in your apartment if you want to look at them.
Jan 12th 2012 6:45PM My sister's home has been in foreclosures for over a year and it's had 3 auction dates set so far. But without a job and going through her retirement money and no way to pay for utilities, she had to move in with me and I paid for her to file bankruphy. A friend and her husband wish they could just walk away from their mortgage it's so under water, but they have no where to go. No one will rent to them. So every month they scrap up enough to pay the mortgage and utilities. People they know have the same problem. Some have been forclosed on and are just waiting to be evicted. Running their businesses is becoming harder and harder. I have a job for wages and I'm hanging on to it even at 69. I did go down from 40 hours a week to 26 hours because physically it's getting harder to work full time. Our home is not underwater so far but I wish we weren't spending so much of our money on the mortgage and utilities. Those pesky donut holes for my husband's medications are coming due in June again. We're already cutting the pills in half to make them last. We prefer not to have to eat cat food after June. Stuff taste crappy.
Dec 28th 2011 4:56PM I have no use for a programmable thermostat at all. I don't go to bed the same time every night nor do I get up the same time every day. Why waste energy when you're in bed and why freeze your butt off if the heat goes off at 11p.m. and you stay up til 1a.m. I turn the heat on when I get up and turn it off when I go to bed. My thermostat cost less then $20. Same with air conditioning.
Jul 28th 2011 2:44PM Hopefully the taxpayers or private insurance company shouldn't have had to pay for this reassignment. She wanted to have babies, then she obviously was still confused about her true gender.
Jul 11th 2011 2:28PM A swat on the butt when a 2 year old dashes out into traffic will imprint on their little brains the danger of their choice faster then a calm lecture about how they could die if hit by a car. Spankings 'no' swat'yes'.
Jul 4th 2011 4:31PM OK, forget being enviramentally correct. Get a bottle of something with boric acid[liquid or powder] mix a tiny amount[half teaspoon] to 1 teaspoon jelly and with your finger dab several fingers of the mixture along their entry path. Within 2-3 weeks they will be gone and will not be back the next spring. No matter how clean I kept every thing they always found a little crumb to snack on. These little guys are such hard workers. It's almost a shame to have to kill them.
Jun 21st 2011 2:29PM All this over a stupid little kids game.
Jun 13th 2011 5:39PM The goverment is a one size fits all mentality. Our children are being taught to never question goverment authority. Most adults really believe if they give up their civil liberty the goverment will keep them from harm. Schools need to take back the common sense they claim they're teaching our children.
Jun 7th 2011 1:55PM What a waste of space. We all know if you're rich and famous you'll score.
Jun 6th 2011 2:45PM I'm not Jewish. I had 2 sons back in the 60's.I didn't have them circumcised. The doctors and nurses were horrified. But for some one to decide they know what's best for other peoples children and want to pass a law is big brother going wild. This is a bad use of the law. In Oregon we are trying to balance religious rights of parents with the right of children not to suffer physcially and even die because of the parents beliefs. So far we have been in favor of the rights of the children. Laws should be used carefully.
