98-Year-Old's Birthday Surprise: Eviction Notice From Her Son

Feb 18th 2012 12:08AM ok this is just plain awful if the guy was SOOOO concerned about his mother why has he not seen her in eight months and why be concerned now especially if another son is checking in on her and she has neighbors and a nurse checking on her i know the article does not say but i am presuming that she has her marbles has not become a danger to herself or others has not started any fires cooking or anything like that it sounds to me like the son is a greedy sob who just wants to get his hands on the house and make money off of it

7 Things That Drive Vets Crazy

Dec 19th 2011 8:12AM i can understand your feelings i have kittys and i love them but if it helps think of it this way ok your pet may be there for a check up or because it is sick pets are like people when they get sick your normaly loving pet may swat and or bite or scratch they dont feel good multiply that by a waiting room full of sick pets as i said pets get cranky too especially when they get sick as a person would sometimes get cranky when sick dont matter how loving or laid back that pet is normaly they dont feel good and are testy because of it and add to that the fact that they are restrained and in unfamiliar surroundings surrounded by strange noises pets and people accidents happen so keeping your pet in a carrier ( for smaller pets) or on a short leash is better and safer all around for EVERYONES pets i am not trying to lecture or be a jerk i am just trying to explain it

7 Things That Drive Vets Crazy

Dec 19th 2011 5:30AM i can understand where some of you are comming from about the cage leash thing but lets put this spin on it ok your pet is normaly very loving and affectionate but just like people when they get sick sometimes when your pet is sick they get cranky and may swat and scratch or bite when they normaly wouldnt when they feel well and there are those who just dont do well with other animals around now add the fact that they are sick and dont feel well on top of that isnt it better to put little sparkey in a kitty carrier or fido on a leash thus protecting them and every one elses pets as i said your normaly affectionate cat or pooch is there most likely because they dont feel well and might swipe or bite where they normaly would not

7 Things That Drive Vets Crazy

Dec 19th 2011 4:47AM i can understand what you are saying but even the pets who are the most loving when they are well can get cranky when sick just like people my cats who are the most loving things in the world get cranky when they dont feel good and would swat at someone who bothers them its just better all around to keep your pet contained in a carrier if possible and on a leash if not possible to put them in a carrier

7 Things That Drive Vets Crazy

Dec 19th 2011 2:32AM @katieward619 ok first i am not a deadbeat i dont apreciate you implying that i am either second if i dont have 300 dollars to pay on a given day but have 150 which is HALF of said vet bill my cat should suffer because i dont have the full 300 dollars yes i KNOW things like meds are expensive i have been to the vet often enough to know that but the fact that i have half the money should be seen as a good faith gesture i always pay my debts i understand that not everyone does but that does not mean that my cat should suffer because some deadbeat didnt pay their bill in this economy a lot of people i know just dont have 300 or more dollars just laying around thankfully my local animal shelter while they wont take owner given up pets they do have a vet who comes in and will see an animal for a lower cost than my local vet pay what you can (of course he gets a lot of donations from local businesses we live in a very pet friendly area) and he asks that in future when you can afford it make a donation to said fund for low income pet owners and donate a bag of cat or dog food to the animal shelter he has gotten a lot of support from the locals but as i said i live in a very pet friendly area
