Sep 23rd 2010 7:37PM I have owned both cats and dogs, sometimes together. While it's true that cats are not generally as playful as dogs, they do play, and, in my case at least, they are good companion animals. Just the sight of one of my cats "lounging about" can calm me right down. If I am feeling ill, my older cat will ALWAYS snuggle up and purr, "nursing" me back to health. The dogs I have owned in the past have been loving and protective, and always ready for a game of catch or tumbling around on the floor. In the end, I suppose the kind of pet that you own depends on your circumstances: size of your home, time you have to spend with the animal, social life, how much you travel. Either way, I always adopt from pounds or the ASPCA. The pet someone gave up will love you all the more for taking a chance and saving its' life.
Aug 18th 2010 9:22PM I agree...Kat is such a whiney, spoiled brat, and she looks like an idiot! Love her art, maybe she can tattoo, "Lying, cheating, dirtbag" on his forehead?
Jun 29th 2010 9:29AM @dsherline: you might want to read the article again. In the second paragraph, there is mention of Sienna Miller and Kate Moss, "Sienna Miller and Kate Moss who have made sartorial declarations at the fest' that have subsequently been copied worldwide -- think wellies with cut-off denim short-shorts,". You might want to control your urge to snipe until you have all the facts correctly lined up. As for Miss Watson, I think she looks very cute and age appropriate. And yes, I agree that she dresses very well. She's made very few fashion mis-steps. She also seems to be very grounded, planning to go to university, rather than falling prey to all the indulgences available to the young and famous.
Jun 21st 2010 3:39PM For this woman NOT to be charged with any violation is ricdiculous! What are the authorities in this town thinking? It has been proven over and over that it is more dangerous to talk on a cell phone and drive, than drinking and driving. That is not to say that I condone either one, but more and more people are going to be hurt or killed by those who are so inconsiderate as to talk on a cell phone and drive. This activity should be made illeagal all across the nation, just as drinking and driving is illegal in all 50 states.
Jun 10th 2010 12:29PM So nice of you all to be so judgemental. I never had to fly my kids by themselves, but if I had had to when they were younger, I would have done the same things these parents did. When my children were younger, there is no way I could have afforded to fly with them only to turn back and fly right back home. Was I then supposed to fly to wherever they were to bring them back home? During those years, I worked 2 jobs, just to be able to afford to feed and dress them. Before you judge others, look at your own lives.
May 23rd 2010 5:50PM This was a hoot! And it's so nice to get your kids involved in the kitchen! Gino's obvious fondess for kids, and his enthusiasim for cooking clearly shines in this lovely, funny video! Bravo, Gino!
May 13th 2010 7:58PM The dancing was fine. I think the costumes were out of line for 7 year old girls. I could have done without some of the bumping and grinding, but for those of you who say the music was inappropriate, listen to the words. It's about repecting a woman well enough to marry her, make a commitment to her. I don't have a problem with that.
May 6th 2010 8:05PM montreaux1991 - YOU are the stupid redneck. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar DO NOT use ANY tax dollars to raise their kids. They have several commercial rentals, and made a PILE of money in real estate. It seems that YOU are the dimwit who can't even hold down a minimum wage job.
As to Josie having health problems, I have known several preemies (including my own sister and a brother), and believe me, neither one of them have ANY health problems, and THEY were born in the 50's & 60's. With all the medical progess over the last 40+ years, Josie stands a very good chance of being perfectly normal.
As to whether or not they should have had so many children, or should have MORE children, that is ENTIRELY up to them.
May 3rd 2010 1:34PM Very well stated, Jessica. I, too, hope that she gets some form of compensation from this, and that her former employer learns a lesson.
May 3rd 2010 10:10AM First of all, she was NOT diagnosed with breast cancer. She found out after genetic testing that she had a genetic predisipostion TO breast cancer, and had the srugery as a preventitive measure. To have then lost her position was terribly cruel on the part of MXenergy. By having the surgery, she pretty much garanteed that she would NOT have breast cancer at any point in the future. I don't quite understand why she told the company about the results of the testing, but they still were wrong in firing her. I think this lady needs a good lawyer.
