Gas Explosion Destroys Connecticut Home, Killing Anthony Fratino

Sep 2nd 2012 11:43AM I am a master plumber in NYC and past holder of several other localities masters licenses

1- The home owner should have closed the propane valve

2- open windows

3- CALL a licensed plumber or the proane supplier

4- Should be held accountable by having his claim for a new home turned down as they had no training to dabble in gas fitting and caused the problem. In NYC one person was actually tried for manslaughter causing thec death because of a gas explosion

Propane is one of the most dangerous fuel gases around because it is heavier then Oxygen (air) it pockets and is very highly flammable.

Even though I hold a masters in plumbing I still had to get certified by the NYC fire dept to handle combustible fuels

Gas Explosion Destroys Connecticut Home, Killing Anthony Fratino

Sep 1st 2012 6:45PM People never realize how dangerous any type of gas leak is. Why did the moron call a licensed plumber or the fire department?

This idiot should be tried for manslaughter.

Years ago this kind of thing happened in NYC where a an idiot busted a gas pipe and ran across the street and called a plumber saying there was a small gas leak. The licensed plumber sent a "tech" not even a journeymen to the job and the tech rang the door bell which caused a spark and the tech was killed on the spot from the severe explosion

They be out there and even worse these low lives VOTE

Should Hunting Be Allowed In America's National Parks?

May 31st 2012 5:22PM Without any doubt huinting should be allowed of else the critters will starbve to death.

I never hunted other then people that deserved killing and was that under orders in the military to do so.

Once America allows one right to be lost may as well let the savage in the oval take them all away including freedom of speech and make the various churchs pay for abortions .

More people were kiled by the Kennedy clan and the Clinton of terror on American soil then hunters killed in over 100 years. .. More idiots dies of texting and talking while driving then being shot by a licensed hunter

Anyone I shot I made sure the target was clearly visible before taking the head shot

House of the Day: $14.9 Million Buys You a Home Built for Jesus

May 15th 2012 12:08PM I worked in this home more times then I can remember and was invited as a guest for dinner and just to meet the home owners on social occasions

The reporter did not do this home or the one on Waldo ave proper justice.

The photographer in my opinion needs to go back and hone their skills as these mansions are amazing to visit and work in. The plumbing is a work of art with all the copper leaders and gutters

The home on Waldo ave has amazing tile work from the 1920's when there were artists rather then craftsmen

Being the plumber of "Riverdale" I work in some of the oldest houses (1860) and biggest homes in the area along with 3 residences of ambassadors from various African countries

Maintaining the original plumbing is truly an art form which I love doing keeping the original fixtures in great working order. I would never dare allow an employee to work here unless I am there along side them

A full 99% of the work performed in these amazing structures I do alone as I feel no one but a master plumber should attempt repairs to maintain the original integrity of the art of plumbing found in these structures

High Rate of Self-Employment Among Veterans

May 30th 2011 1:34PM When I joined the navy @17 I worked on boilers and when my 3 year enlistment was over I decided to become a plumber and started my own company. with in a few years I was doing over 2.6 million a year and had 18 employees THEN Bama said " spread the wealth" and started to punish businesses so I fired all my employees and started to work on my own rather then being Bamas care taker as he hates free enterprise . DUMBO in the oval office is a businessman's worst nightmare .

He hates the freedom America had to offer and detests our freedoms as a nation. He has no respect for the Judaical system saying who can and cannot stand trial by ordering murder in cold blood murders like the Clinton's were known for at Ruby Ridge and Waco Texas .

BAMA does NOT believe in the constitution of due process. He with the senate should be tried for war crimes in other countries IMHO

Prevent Pipes from Bursting...and Fix Burst Pipes!

Jan 27th 2011 5:47PM Let me see if I have these suggestions right?

"Remove all the water from a trap" does this mean it is ok to have carcinogenic and flammable fumes entering the structure instead of having a possible freeze up?

"Now this sounds nuts, but hot
water usually freezes first (has to do with expansion and oxygen) "

Could it actually be that cold water is USED Much more often thus moving water will not freeze as readily?

Could it also be that hot water lines are normally smaller thus less volume thus it can freeze faster?

The idea about oxygen being boiled out is GREAT but those who bother to read would find out many of the residential heaters do not BOIL the water as 125 DEG F will not even kill any bacteria

Try another line of the people possibly you can fool them :)

Muslim Girl Back on Basketball Court After Being Benched for Wearing Headscarf

Jan 20th 2011 5:34PM It is a shame how people from other places come to America and we must abide by their laws /customs as we are no longer allowed to have uniforms that ware good enough for everyone.

This special treatment is splitting this country in half

When will the 87% of the citizens finally say enough of this abuse of this country

The 12% self loathing Americans are destroying this wonderful country
