Nov 23rd 2011 6:00PM As the spouse of a retired airline empoyee I can honestly say that I don't buy half of what mr. Berkowitz is trying to claim here. Frankly I think the man is making a spurious claim to get something for nothing. And most of the comments I've read here are essentially clueless. The only ones even halfway on the mark are the ones about FAA rules. Firstly the ticket agent or boarding agent should have required the heavy weight gentleman to buy two seats. Secondly, airlines used to have seatbelt extensions for exactly this type of purpose. PerhapsU. S. Air did not have any on board in which case the flight attenents should have requested one be brought on board from the maintenance department. Thirdly, no flight attendant is going to jeopardize their job by allowing a passenger to stand for an entire flight. FAA rules are very strict about no passengers standing in the aisle or anywere else on board while the airplane is in flight. They should have contacted the Captain and gotten permission to allow Mr Berkowitz to strap into a flight attendant seat and the flight attendant sit in the cockpit jump seat. The FAA also requires passengers to be seatbelted during takeoff and landing. It's a safety issue. The Captain should have been made aware of the situation before the plane even pushed back from the gate.
Mar 16th 2011 1:06PM The black hat Emma is wearing in the second photo shoot is NOT a bowler hat. It is a Fedora. A bowler is the type of hat worn by Charlie Chaplin and Laurel and Hardy and John Steed, of "The AVEngers". Regardless of the Hat she wears, Emma is a very Attractive Young lady and a perfect fit for Lancome'. Go Hermoine.
Dec 27th 2010 1:25PM This comments are about Eric's chair rail instalation. First, he didn't mark where the wall studs were so he could nail into them. I use a small pieces of blue painters masking tape to save marks on the wall.Just shooting a nail or stsple into the wallboard will NOT hold the rail.Second, the mitred end of his first piece needs to go over a stud or it will always open with the expansion or contraction of the wall. Third, he never finished the reveal. The finishing pieces are hard to cut but not impossible and should be fastened with wood glue as they are usually too small to nail.
Nov 3rd 2010 4:26PM Mrs. Hasselbeck (notHassenbeck) ounce again proves how much of an ignorant bimbo she is. If she knew anything about the registering to vote issue and actually voting on election day she would never have made such ludicrous remarks but then again that's what ignorant bimbos do and there's no way she's smarter than Barbara Walters. I'm somewhat disgusted with most of the replies I've been reading. Are all you people really that clueless about how a voting station works. This is not the 1950's South, There are mechanisms in place to prevent someone from voting multiple times although I must admit asking for an ID would be another good mechanism to ease the burden on election place personel.
Nov 3rd 2010 2:15PM Miss Connolly appears to be as much of an idiot as mrs.Hasselbeck. When you sign in to vote, you must sign you name next to your election roster spot to prove who you are and then you recieve a number that you must enter onto your ballot. When the roster is checked later by an election supervisor any duplicate signatures or signatures that look phony are checked out and if they are found to be fraudulent or phony the corresponding numbered ballot number is voided and thrown out.
Jul 10th 2010 4:49PM I'm sick and tired of the race card thing also but this isn't about the players or their egos or the money. it's about the team's fans most of all.players and teams completely forget that. when players tell their team and teammates to go f... off and then jump ship to another team for money they are really only hurting the fans who give the team all that money for seats and respect and lolalty.if fans don't go to games and support their team, the team wouldn't exist.I for one am tired of all the selfish behavior in sports whether it's done by players who go somewhere else or agents who tell them to or owners who move the team to another city. enough alresdy, show some RESPECT for us fans. fans
Jun 30th 2010 1:51PM How about this one. Our cousin from Chicago came to S.F. to visit and attend a conference for her job. After having lunch with co-workers she returned to her hotel to relax and freshen up before they all went out for dinner. She brought her doggy -bag with left over sandwich from lunch to her room. wanting to keep it fresh for a midnight snack she opened the mini-fridge in her room and finding no place in the fridge for her sandwich she rearranged the contents of the fridge to make room. At check out time she found huge overcharges for consumming the things she had touched in the fridge which she never ate or drank. After complaining to the hotel manager the charges were taken off the bill but only after the maid was called and asked if she had restocked the fridge. the maid said no she had not restocked the fridge and that nothing had been taken out of the fridge only moved. It turned out that the fridge had pressure sensitive pads under each item and whenever an item was taken off the pad the cost of that item was automatically added to the room charge at the usual grossly inflated price. After telling her co-workers about her experience the boss vowed never to use that hotel or it's affiliates for business ever again. Good for him.
Jun 25th 2010 8:45PM I feel sorry for you John. You obviously don't know how to cook or even enjoy food. I cook dinner at home maybe25 out of 30 days a month and
i rarely measure. I learned to cook from my mother and grandmother who could easily pass for gourmet chefs. food is life, you should learn to enjoy it.
Jun 3rd 2010 1:18PM DON't know if it was Mike or Heidi who wrote this but I assume it was Mike. IF it was you Mike, you are a racist idiot.
Jun 3rd 2010 12:54PM You need to get over your own ego Kathie and stop your man bashing attitude.
