Jun 7th 2011 7:55PM Ditto Terry. Insecurity with ones own looks sometimes expresses itself by trying to criticize others. Apparently those flinging arrows aren't beholding any beauty when they stare into the mirror.
Jun 6th 2011 4:10PM I can't speak for the administration but as a member of the public, the teacher isn't always wrong. Kids are raised in a society that has grown lazy in child rearing. Television, video games, computers are the baby sitters instead of parents instilling values like self-respect, respect for others, manners, house chores and respect for authority. Today's youth wander through life with hands shaped like cups, expecting everthing for free or without expending much effort. Humility and compassion are viewed as traits of weakness. As a kid, I dare not tell my parents that my teacher or god forbid that the principle swatted me. Their response would be a follow-up punishment. We respected authority as kids and sometimes feared it. That's not the case anymore. Today you have teachers fearful of job security, lawsuits, and irresonsible parents taking the side of their disruptive kids. The solution is that we have to take a stand. The line has to be drawn in the home. Its staying involved with your kids and their schools, doing what parents are supposed to do day in and day out. You can't be their friend. The streets and the correction system are the last resort.
Apr 20th 2011 4:18PM They laughed at The Beverly Hillbillies but that never stoped the GOP!
Apr 8th 2011 4:00PM Now that's "Breaking News".
Apr 8th 2011 3:59PM That's very intelligent. Its obvious that your parents where ever you were born didn't raise you right!
Apr 8th 2011 3:29PM Let's see your mama's!
Apr 8th 2011 3:23PM How many white Americans chose not to vote for Obama because he is black?
Mar 24th 2011 6:14PM George you're lucky that you're not still working at the bakery where they used to throw dough in your face to make monster cookies.
Mar 14th 2011 9:07AM So your response to a blatantly ignorant act by one individual is a likewise ignorant racial insult? What meaningful purpose does this serve?
Feb 24th 2011 6:16PM Its still a business and there is the thing called Return on Investment that has to be considered before embarking on any shopping spree. Otherwise why not sign Hancock while your at it.
