Antonio Banderas absent for part of Melanie's battle with addiction

Sep 23rd 2011 1:07PM It's my experience that it is easy to stop doing drugs. What's difficult is to stay off them. When you first quit, you understand why you're doing it. You understand that you have become a person that you yourself rally wouldn't want to be around. However, after you've been off for awhile, you forget the bad times that first prompted you to deal with the problem. You remember the how bad you felt, how after awhile you don't even get that high anymore. You are just treating the feelings of withdrawl. It is easy to quit, but very hard to stay quit.

Eric Mangini May Be Done in Cleveland

Jan 3rd 2011 9:53AM As a Stiller fan, I can't believe that I actually felt sorry for Mangini yesterday. As the camera would occasionally pan to the Browns coach, the sick look on his face caused a feeling of compassion that I never expected to experience. I think the Browns are a coach away from being a pretty decent football team.

Vince Young Placed on Injured Reserve

Nov 23rd 2010 11:47AM As a Steeler fan, I have no love for the Titans, or Young, or Fischer, or Adams, but if Adams sides with Young over his head coach, Jeff should walk. It would take Fischer about two seconds to get an excellent offer. The Vikings need a coach and a quarterback . . . now, wouldn't that be funny!

Sister Wives TLC True Story -- 'I Married My Younger Sister's Husband'

"where're you going?
"out!"

"where're you going?"

Burning Reggie Bush Won't Put Out NCAA Fires

Sep 18th 2010 10:37AM Power and avarice have always been the dark side of the American Dream. The All-American archetype is the poor boy who becomes rich, instead of the Franciscan, or the Buddhist ideal of the rich boy who becomes poor. Never mind the notion that our hero might be a girl.

'40-Year-Old Virgin' Actor Shelley Malil Found Guilty of Attempted Murder

Sep 17th 2010 4:46PM Besides your spelling, you also mixed your tenses in the first sentence. Kathy, unless you sat in on the jury, you can't possibly know he is innocent, but if you do believe it, I have a bridge in New York you might be interested in purchasing from me.

Derek Jeter Did No Wrong on Hit by Pitch

Sep 17th 2010 2:16PM All of those who think Jeter, cheated never played organized baseball. This sin't golf where players are expected to regulate themselves. It is baseball, where "cheating" is a time honored tradition. Catchers frame pitches, baserunners steal signs, first basemen hide baseballs, fielders will claim a catch when he knows he merely trapped the ball (and the fielder always knows whether he trapped the ball), and it is up to the umpire to regulate the game. It isn't the batters responsibility to tell the umpire he wasn't hit with a pitch.

The only problem Jeter may have is that after the game, he admitted that he wasn't hit with the pitch. This may be considered by the umpires as showing them up, which will not make them very happy. I can almost guarrantee that Jeter won't get many calls for the rest of the season.

Prostitution Ring Busted At Philadelphia Airport Hotels

Aug 21st 2010 3:30PM Seems to me that any targeting of "johns" by the police would be entrapment.

Thursday-and-Long: Why Can't Terrell Owens Get a Job?

Jul 22nd 2010 1:21PM I heartily disagree with this commentary. Because T.O. didn't blow-up the Buffalo locker room, a losing team that he had no intention of staying with past one season, doesn't ease anyone's mind concerning his commitment to whatever team his is with. He's blown up every other locker room of every other team he's play for. Why would Pete Carroll take the chance of bringing a disruptive force of nature like T.O. into a young locker room? Why would he expose his rookies to an insidious bad attitude. It could ruin them for their NFL life.

LeBron James Fathead Going for $17.41 in Honor of Benedict Arnold

Jul 10th 2010 1:08PM As a loyal Pittsburgher, I totally support Cleveland. NOT! . . . and I always want only good things for Cleveland. NOT NOT! . . . and I really believe there is so much more to Cleveland than the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Lebron James . . . well, the hall of fame, at least. Yeah . . . yeah, Cleveland has a river that caught fire back in the 70's . . . let's see . . . the browns . . . no . . . sorry, I got nothing . . . hey! they have Presque Isle . . . no, wait...that's Erie. Oh, well...Cleveland's great! No, really!
