Apr 3rd 2012 11:27PM Hmmm. A certain fast food chain used to sell Choc. chip cookies and 'animal' crackers, (in the shape of their characters), and they charged the same price as far as I remember.
Jul 9th 2011 12:04AM I used to collect crap. One day I heard my grandmother had a 3 bedroom house. One for my grand-prarents, one for at least 3 or 4 of my uncles and aunts and the 3rd was my grandmother's junk room. I went home and started throwing stuff out. I did not want to be like that. I, also, used to collect things like those beer mug shot glasses. I have about 5. I went to a flea market and some guy had 20+. I saw that and since I didn't want to spend that much and I decided he had a bigger collection than me. Believe it or not, I stopped collecting stuff. Besides that, my kids threaten to throw everything out when I die, so I'd rather have someone else have it and let them worry about it! When I'm asked what I want for a present, I tell them 'food' or something practicle them I'm going to use, not look at. I'm still tossing out stuff but I'm not going to become a neat freak. It sure makes it easier to find stuff!
Jun 15th 2011 12:58AM If they could have a child, he/she would graduate when Hugh is 103. It's the money, ya think?
Jun 13th 2011 3:09PM I have a better punishment. I was in a very large H.S. When ever I sat down in the auditorium the bottom of the seat was covered with old gum. ALOT of the classroom chairs were too. We lived in a mid to high class city. (Glad I moved.) Anyway, make these kids clean off the chairs. It is not cruel. And for the kids who then put their gum anywhere they want, (to make it a worse punishment), keep an eye on them better. If the teacher has to check each student when they enter their classroom, then so be it! Too many people these days take advandage of things. They throw trash because 'the prisoners will pick it up'. Or "Oh they pay someone to clean that." Our lives would be alot easier if people helped each other out. Ever see the movie, "Lean on Me"? Excellant.
May 29th 2011 7:33PM So TRUE. "If you can't say anything nice, than don't say anything at all". How many of us are still raised to act like that?
May 27th 2011 2:14PM Got that right. Jessica's blouse looks like it has a short vest over it, while Kanye's shirt has a "Charlie Sheen look" on 2 1/2 Men. Jessica's blouse is more feminine. Sounds like someones boss was pushing them for an article and this is all they could come up with.
May 26th 2011 12:02AM Who the heck cares what side of the car it was taken on? The article was supposed to educate us on weather hazards. Obviously she already feels a little guilty about being caught driving at the same time, but ya don't have to point it out.
Thanks for the pic, E.S., but yea, pull over next time and be safe.
May 16th 2011 9:54AM A few years ago I read an article about how a bedroom is the room for relaxing, sleep and intimacy. My husband said I could paint our room any color I wanted, but he wasn't expecting to come home one day to see it mid-dark Lavender! He added the idea of of wood blinds which do a good job of keeping the light out. No more bright white blinds in that room. We did "cheat" and kept the TV, which is 'ta-boo', but other wise we get a good nights sleep. (Or a nice afternoon nap.)
May 13th 2011 12:58AM Nice dress but I think she should have left her napkin at the table, not stuck under her chin! What is that gaudy thing? And who told her it looked nice? A simple string of pearls whould have been sufficient.
May 13th 2011 12:40AM There ya go. Tell a kid they are overweight so they will become another Karen Carpenter. I heard she died from starving herself after some reporter described her as her brother's "chubby little sister". No, ya get the kid involved in physical activities, (don't go overboard) and offer them nutrious food and make candy a treat like it was intended. Except for an occasional pizza, 1-2 times a month, (maybe), mine always gets a veggie with their meals and I only buy candy during the holidays. They know I'm going to say "no" so they don't even bother asking for treats. That makes the treats a "treat".
