Jan 7th 2011 10:30PM Yes, if you must wear sweatpants in public, you are that lazy! sweatpants are meant for exercising, the gym, being at home... not at the grocery store or the mall or a football game or school. I firmly believe that the casualization of America has led to lazy work ethics, disrepect for each other and a general attitude of apathy.
Jul 8th 2010 6:16PM total agreement... Saving Grace was magnificent! Maybe next year in recognition of the finale. There are way more shows on TV than Glee, 24, and the nauseating comdedies. Bones is deserving, Psych is deserving, Saving Grace, In Plain Sight, A show doesn't have to be shocking to be very good.
Jul 8th 2010 6:12PM Just because an actor is surrounded by good actors that make them look good doesn't mean they deserve an award. I have never been impressed with Cox. Why do they consider this a snub? 24 snubbed? nope just not worthy. Lost its oomph a couple of seasons ago.
Jun 8th 2010 10:51AM Often, the 'real' cops you see in malls and at events are off duty, moonlighting for a little extra income. During busy times, having these 'real' cops visible is intentional as a deterent. Like many of the posters here, a lot of people have no respect for mall cops. They will not cooperate, they know the limits of the mall cop. A 'real' cop has more of the 'umph' to prevent incidents and crime. Sad, but true.
Apr 18th 2010 9:19PM I agree. As I read, I was thinking the title should have been, "How to steal from a big box company, in three easy lessons." I work for a private owned but very large garden center. We grow our own stock on our own farm. It is a great place to work. We are taught the same thing, report the shop lifter, don't go after them. I felt this was irresponsible reporting, teaching people how to steal. shame.
Apr 18th 2010 9:16PM I work in a garden center. I am an avid gardener. I have an MA in Education. I love working with the flowers, the colors, the sunshine, the dirt, the smells. It is a great job. yes I have been a Program Manager, a teacher, a public educator, a broker. But this is my favorite job. Hardwork. very hard work, but it feels so good to work in this environment. My co-workers? about 1/2 and 1/2. Some highly educated, some not. All intelligent, all gardeners, all classy knowledgable gardeners. We work where we work out of passion for the industry. Never underestimate a garden center worker. The conditions are too miserable for us not to love what we do.
Feb 24th 2010 8:05PM How about some former teen idols.... Bobby Sherman, Davy Jones, Peter Noone, David Cassidy, that could be a fun season.
Feb 23rd 2010 12:03PM Women of comedy is a great concept, but why the major age disparity? Make Classic women of comedy and It would shine! Betty isn't the only Golden Girl out there, she may be the most visible by far. but even one generation after her has some great comedians, Jane Curtain? Why must it be the most recent alums of SNL? Is Ann B Davis still acting? Great lady of comedy.
Jan 12th 2010 11:34AM Debbie, someone has paid for this crime. MJ himself. As we have been informed by the press and everone else, MJ demanded this stuff. He insisted on it and no one would tell him 'No'. Is Dr responsible? I agree that yes, he is. But ultimately MJ did this to himself. a Dr had the responsibility to 'do no harm' Contrad did a lot, but it was on the request of the patient.
Jan 5th 2010 9:20PM Sad for whom? I think it is great that some people live without idolizing the little or big tube and people with no talent other than talking. To not be invovled in pop culture is acceptable.
