Aug 15th 2013 2:41PM The government also pays $600 for toilet seats and hammers. Why try to be thrifty? It not their money they are spending!
Aug 8th 2013 9:15AM So what does that have to do with sinkholes?
Aug 1st 2013 9:54AM My husband was head of security at Honolulu Int. Airport during the early 90's. Sleeping on the job at an airport is an offense that generally requires immediate dismissal. FAA requires a certain number of people in each security area to keep the airport open. In Honolulu, it was the only airport in the Paccific that could land a 747. You would be amazed at how they "manage" to keep an understaffed airport open. It's why my husband, after many years as a cop, quit the airport.
Jun 21st 2013 8:00AM I am very thin. (Naturally, no magic diet--happens as some of us age.) When I fly, everyone wants to sit next to me so they will have seat room. The last flight i took, a very large person sat next to me. I had to lean into the window to have any shoulder room. Seems the test is, if the arm rest will go down, then they can sperad under it onto my seat (half of it in this case) and their shoulders and arms were so big that I flew leaning at a thirty degree angle to have room for my body in my seat. thanks Southwest.
May 14th 2013 10:37AM I'm sorry Larry, but wherever you did your research on pilot salaries was wrong. $15-17K is barely above minimum wage and common sense (plus their lifestyle) refutes them living actually living below the poverty level. Also, while I am not a Republican, blaming them for everything bad that happens is getting old. If your report about pilot salaries is true, why haven't the Democrats changed it? They've been in office for five years. (By the way, two of the guys my husband plays golf with are retired pilots. I've seen their houses and they weren't built on $17k a year!)
Oct 21st 2011 1:12PM Maybe it will keep people who can't afford a mortgage from getting one. That's what got us in this mess to begin with.
Aug 23rd 2011 3:03PM What the he-double hockey sticks does this have to do with new home construction? If you notice, below "add your comment" it says to keep comments relevant. Apparently you don't feel the rules that apply to the rest of us apply to you. Aren't you special....and rude.
Jun 11th 2011 11:48AM Sorry--BS was way back on the first page.
Jun 11th 2011 11:44AM Couldn't have said it better myself. Now we are being EXCLUDED in America because we speak English.
Wow. Says a lot, doesn't it?
Jun 11th 2011 11:41AM Finally--a feel good news story. Of course some moron will find some way to critisize in the comments--they always do. See BS below! I think I know what BS stands for.
