Dec 21st 2012 11:06AM Peggy, I agree with you about there being a lot of misinformation in the mindsets of people on gun ownership both pro and con. But actually, in the early part of the twentieth century, fully automatic guns could be legally purchased. tommy guns?

I think Adolph used your plan in 1938 in Nazi Germany! (And the world wondered why the ordinary German citizen didn't raise up against Hitler and his henchman!)
Dec 21st 2012 10:19AM hate to correct you on your very apparent lack of knowlege on firearms, but ..."an M1 Garand style "bolt action" rifle is non sensical. The M1 is a gas operated clip fed semi-automatic shoulder weapon... guess you were never in the Army, huh? I agree with you however with your point of the culture of death that the "entertainment" industry including 'Hollow wood' brings to the American people every time a buck is to be made. Silvester Stallone cries all the way to the bank for the victims of gun violence, when cashing his checks from his latest boring film, where his Dumbo[Rambo] character never runs out of bullets!
Dec 21st 2012 9:57AM I think gun laws should be made uniform across the Country. I live in New Jersey where many people think the most rigid gun control laws in the land exist. I own guns responsibly and have never found the gun control laws here to be unreasonable.
Two ideas I would urge consideration to prevent or hopefully limit the tradgedy of A Newtown, would be to require at least one fully qualified armed security person on school premises at all time during school hours with the willingness to use deadly force to stop a murdering rampage in its tracks.
Another idea would be to make the owner of a legally registered gun to be held just as liable as the person who commits a crime with that person's gun. Guns must be made at least as safe as power tools from unauthorized hands in the home.
Jun 9th 2011 10:25AM Kimmel would have gotten a different answer from Paris if he would have just showed her a picture of Weiner's nose.
Jun 8th 2011 2:15PM New York City is one of the most if not the most difficult cities to manage. Alec Baldwain is an actor and I enjoy his work very much. He should stick to it, because as much as I admire his acting skills, I don't think he has the brains to run a paperstand let alone the greatest City in the world

Feb 11th 2011 12:34PM I enjoyed her acting work very much. RIP
