Aug 21st 2010 1:53AM I just bought a Gateway model NV53a24u for 499.00. 2.3ghz processor, 4GBDDR3 memory, 320GB harddrive,, DVD-Super Multi DL drive, AMD Athelon II X2 processor, 15.6" HD LED LCD Dsiplay, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250, Multi in 1 Card reader, 802.11 b/g/n wireless card, 1.3 Megapixel webcam. All for 535.oo After tax. I'm sorry but this is a FAR better deal then any of the computers listed. The author considers 1GB of memory good in todays laptops for under 500.00!? Clearly Sally just hastily looked through the Sunday ads and picked a few laptops out so she could meet her deadline! I Home Premium 64-bit. This woman very clearly didn't do any sort of solid research, and her editor should be castrated and fired. Thank you and come again. I forgot to mention, the laptop is also blue, and we all know colors cost more and it was still 499.00 before tax.
Jul 29th 2010 2:11PM thank god someone gets it. It's always the people who partied in high school, skipped college to make the "big bucks" and are not out of work because they have nothing to fall back on, like an EDUCATION!!! Now that this is an employers market I promise you someone with a degree, even an AA will have a far better chance at getting a job then someone who only has a high school diploma. And the beauticians thing, location REALLY matters. If you work around money, you make money, but if you cut hair in your local Super Cuts well then your making 24k a year. So many people are going to, or going back to school that in 8 years if you don't have a degree your application will be sitting on the bottom of the pile for a long time. Sure there are always trades to go into, but most of those trades depend on a healthy housing market for growth, once the housing market crashes, well so do most of the trade jobs. The only safe bet is an EDUCATION, something to fall back on. With all the grants available to day the only thing stopping people for getting a degree is themselves, either cause they were born dumb ( we always need ditches dug) or born lazy!! Tighten up America, get educated, stop whining, do it yourself, that's the American way!!!!
Jul 29th 2010 2:03PM I bet this "mystery" employee's father died several times, along with his grandparents. I would be willing to be this guy had several "family emergencies" a month that required him to take off work. Ever hear of the boy who cried wolf? I have worked with several people through the years that are low enough lie about a family emergency or death just to get off work. If it was a REAL emergencies or this employee didn't take 4 days off a month, then maybe Fed EX would believe him, but since he likely used and abused the system it's catching back up to him.... Henry, your a fool!!!! Go cry somewhere else, your not even staying on topic, what are you 40 with a 9th grade education and mad that the world is against you? lol what a freakin' loser!!!
Jul 8th 2010 1:38PM Breaking Bad IS the best drama show on TV right now!!
Jun 19th 2010 4:31PM People should realise that relationships are not real. THey developed in order to give the woman, and her newborn child a chance at surving the first few months in our " caveman days". I will admit that .01% of the people on this planet looking for lifetime love will find it, only because the chemicals in ther brains continue to flow, that's all love is, chemicals. The person giving advice in this article is just as clueless as the people she is giving advice to. The best advice when it comes to relationships is to enjoy them as long as their is joy to be had, once the joy is replaced by misery and fighting cut your losses and find the next person to share this experince with called LIFE!!!!!
Jun 19th 2010 4:22PM So because he is sleeping with a younger woman makes him a low-life? Spoken like a old, wrinkled, dried up bitter woman. The simple fact is that very few people will love thier partner until the day they die!! He has fallen out of love ( it happens everyday, and to everyone) found something attractive to him and he is pursuing it. She should do the same rather then wallow in pitty!
Jun 19th 2010 4:19PM The simple fact is if your marriage has dissolved to the point where you think a stranger is going to help, your wrong. A love between two people can not be disceted and analyzed by an outsider, no matter how many degrees she/he has on their wall.
May 27th 2010 10:27AM Well pouring Vodka in your eye does not feel good, but remember back to the FIRST time you poured vodka down your throat, did it feel good? I don't think so, it ALSO burnt like hell and made your stomach churn, yet people still drink it EVERDAY sometimes ALL day. SO putting it in your eye may seem stupid, but putting it in your gut is just as dumb, just accepted by society.
