HOA Forces Family to Remove Disabled Child's 'Therapy Home'

Dec 17th 2011 1:26AM Why didn't someone say something while this childs playhouse was being built? They obviously saw it going up in the neighborhood. Why wait until its been built and the money has been spent to then step up and say "ahem you can't have this here.
I live in a condominium complex and it is the same way here. We supposedly do not even own our balconies even though they are attached to our units. What a crock. I was involved in a situation last year that made me see the part about looking the other way for some people and not tolerating things with others. We plan on moving on from this place as quickly as possible.

New Style Essentials Under $100

Nov 20th 2011 4:18PM This stuff is still too pricey. I find my accessory stuff at Goodwill type of stores. They are a great way to go if you have a limited budget and are willing to take the time to look. I have found some very nice things and have walked away paying less then $20.00 bucks. Hang on to your money and go poor chic.

Fashion Styles That Make You Look Older and What to Wear Instead

Nov 20th 2011 4:13PM I opt for comfort over style as well. Have for years and I am only in my 50's. I found out back then that comfort is more important then anything else. I don't care what others think of me. I can manage pulling off not looking like a slob quite well thank you very much without having to spend alot on being trendy which is something I hate anyway. Anyone ever hear of 2nd time around type stores.

Better With Age: Four Makeup Mistakes That Age You

Nov 6th 2011 3:56PM I agree with the comments concerning this article. I am 53 and have been wearing my makeup the same way since I was in my mid 30's. I use my husband as my guide. I told him to tell me when my eye makeup starts looking goulish and then I will stop wearing it that way. I can trust him to be honest with me. I don't care what others think of me I am not doing things for them. I have also found that contrary to so called makeup experts, brown colored eye shadow does not make blue eyes pop. It doesn't do anything for me but make my eyes look old and tired.

Sarah Ferguson: They 'Destroyed' Me Because I'm a Royal Ex Wife

Jul 5th 2011 4:25PM When we are young we do a lot of foolish things and make a lot of foolish mistakes. Sarah has indicated that she has learned. None of us are perfect and he who is without sin should cast the first stone. She has recognized that she is a work in progress as we all are. Peace to you Sarah and please continue to learn and grow and concentrate on whats positive not whats negative.

What We're Trying Now: Slicked-Back Hair

Jul 1st 2011 1:42PM When it gets to be in the mid to high 80's to 90's all you want to do is be cool and who cares about how it looks. Putting long hair in a pony tail or bun would seem much better then a short do because if you are sweating you can't see the sweat as much with hair pulled back as opposed to short hair. All short hair does is look soaked and that doesn't look very good.

Living Without: Could You Deal With No Cable TV?

May 16th 2011 3:28PM We have cable and only watch our tv on Friday nights. The only show we like is House Hunters international and it is on, on Fridays. Other then that, we don't even watch the local news anymore and we couldn't be happier. TV is nothing but a time waster.

Jessica Simpson's Family Photo Shoot Fashion (Photos, Poll)

May 10th 2011 2:50PM Ineresting look, but it doesn't really matter weather its faux pas or not because anything goes these days.

6-course mobile gourmet meal served aboard NYC subway car

May 10th 2011 2:47PM I think the MTA guy complained because he didn't get in on any of the food action. Because as long as they didn't cause any damage or harm in any way, who should care?

How I Learned to Love My Curls: From Poofy to Stick-Straight to Happy at Last

May 3rd 2011 3:22PM The picture of that little girl could be me. My hair was identical to that when I was 11. Mine got like that after I had my first period back in 1969. Straight hair was in back then and I got nothing but harrassed for having it. I dealt with it the best I could. Then the mid 70's came along and max hair dryers. It changed things for me because I eventually learned how to use the brush attachment. Then I went to cosmetology school and learned how to use a curling iron to straighten. Now I just get them chemically straightened once a year especially for the summer months. Very little frizz to deal with. I don't like curly hair to this day but who knows maybe someday I will come to peace with it.
