Jan 6th 2011 4:30PM I'm a bit confused. First you say you've never watched "Cops", then you proceed to pontificate on its deficiencies. Hot air.
Oct 27th 2010 9:41AM Absolutely correct. I had double paned windows on my new home and was talked into having film installed about 6 months later. The look of the film was fine on my home, but about a year later, one window cracked. Was chagrined to find the warranty had been voided. Six months after, another window cracked (both faced SW). Have not had any others crack in the four years since, but it really pisses me off that the film installers had to be aware of this effect and the warranty void. I'm sure knowledgeable homeowners (which I was not) had mentioned this to them many times during their attempted sales pitches.

What? Never in my 68 years have I gotten a day off due to a Jewish holiday.
May 13th 2010 2:02PM Besides the dimmer switch incapatibilty that many have already mentioned, I've found that the CFL's don't seem to throw quite as much light as the advertized equivalent incandescent. So I've usually switched out to one size up from the suggested equivalent CFL. The trouble with that though is that then the bigger bulb often won't fit in the fixture, just an aggravating hair too big. But there's no question that cooler running CFL bulbs are great in recessed fixtures where incandescent overheating can cook the sockets and wiring. Also, on the down side, I've found over the years not to display treasured photographs in long-term flourescent light; the dyes fade much quicker.

Mar 23rd 2010 5:56PM I can't believe you're the only one to comment on this. I can't imagine slinging my little brother over my shoulder at the age of nine-- or at the age of 29. Give me a break!
Oct 21st 2009 4:36PM Ursula Andress was undoubtedly one of the most beautiful actresses on film. I had her pics from Playboy on my college wall. They never failed to get a comment.

Mar 20th 2007 4:47PM My thoughts exactly, BC. Joel eliminates most of the cast as being ineligible for some reason, then applauds Jane. OK, Jane has always been one of my favorites too, but I can't understand writing off Gilda's and John's talent just because they're dead. I'm sure both of them would have continued successfully if living. Dan and Chevy would certainly rank as successful "entertainers" for most people. What DID happen to Lorraine and Greg? I've seen Greg very occasionally; Lorraine never.
