Jan 28th 2012 11:42PM I met my Husband February 13th, 1972. We will know each other 40 years this year. I can say we have been through the fires of life together, raising three sons with major medical issues and now his own struggle. My husband had a double bypass last August, and then another major surgery January 12th, 2012 for aortic abdominal aneurysms and restoration of blood flow to his legs. We have been married 37.5 years at this time. Our valentines day will be spent enjoying just being together since he is still recouperating. If anything we have learned through all of this, it has been to appreciate each other and every day you have with the one you love. You never know what life holds for you.

Meet Martyn Lawrence-Bullard, Designer To The Stars

Sep 11th 2010 8:49PM I suppose it's ok if you're from INDIA, or some other country that adores gawdy stuff.
Some of the furnishings are too large for the space and the use of color? ack.

Bankruptcy time for Reader's Digest

Oct 16th 2009 9:20AM I stopped reading it when they changed their index from the front cover to the inside and became like everyone elses magazine. To read these posts, I can see that change came about when the founders had passed or passed it on to others. Many magazines now are hitting people up to pay when they have JUST renewed or bought a recent subscription. (They JUST paid!)

Is venture capital dead?

Jul 15th 2009 9:50AM Your body can make all of the stem cells that you need, it just needs the catalyst to make it perform like it did when you were a child, Stemtech has such a product to help your body do just that. I joined them for 25.00!

I'm also an accounting student. One class I am working on finishing now pointed me to, www.prosper.com. This IS a venture funding site that is by the people helping other people. You can even become a lender with 25 dollars. The loans may come from several people rolled into one amount that is needed. it's a really interesting site.

$250 checks sent to seniors on Thursday

May 8th 2009 8:41PM last year many seniors and disabled did not get a stimulus check at all. Only because they could be counted as a deduction on someone elses income taxes. I think that this is fair to those who did not get one last year because of the rules preventing them from it.

With holiday card sending way down, is the Post Office the next to crash?

Jan 2nd 2009 2:57AM We boycott the USPS as much as possible. Multiple price hikes over the past few years, and much poorer service. Instead of two people at a window, we have one. The line goes out the door most days. As business owners, we do NOT have that kind of time, to stand and wait and wait and wait. Oh I'm not slow, it's this machine. Our mail is NOT delivered to the Post Office box on time. The sign says, all mail in the boxes by ten am. RIGHT, Maybe by ONE pm. If I have to ship anything I go to the UPS store, why? My item arrives. Shipping by the USPS, I have had items stolen. If the USPS wants to recover, they need to drop their postage rates. Advertise that, instead of buying super bowl ads. How dumb of a move is that anyway? Those ads are extremely expensive and wasteful.

Supreme Court Won't Review Obama's POTUS Eligibility, Birth Certificate

Dec 8th 2008 10:24PM Obama's mother left America before the age of 19, she gave up her citizenship in the USA, Obama was born in Kenya, his own grandmother brags about being in the delivery room there. Obama was adopted by his step father and his nationality was listed as Indonesian. What is with all the non production of this "birth certificate"?? Show it, set it to rest and be done with it. Obviously there's something to be hid.

AIG Party Watch: This time a resort in Phoenix

Dec 6th 2008 8:21PM Someone said, if they took the same bail out funds, and divided it among the tax payers, each tax payer would get approximately 450K after taxes are paid back to the gov on this they would have approx 350K. This would be enough to pay off mortgages, credit cards, student loans, car loans, medical debt. The banks would not be in trouble from foreclosures, they would have their funds. Student loans would be funded again because others would be paid off.. etc.. think about it.

AIG Party Watch: This time a resort in Phoenix

Dec 6th 2008 8:17PM AIG needs to be penalized, and the money returned to the government. If they have to file bankruptcy so be it!
They need to learn that you don't break the law and benefit from it.
