Sep 24th 2008 10:35AM Fair question, and one I struggled with before writing this post. In the end, I decided I wanted to call them out on this idea and also point out that online bullying is no laughing matter. I tried to be fair in this post, but I was actually really ticked when I got a press release that seemed to glorify cyber-bullying (believe me when I say I held back while writing this :-)
So, yeah, I wish I hadn't had to link to them, but I'd rather call them out then be quiet and hope people don't think crap like this is acceptable. Make sense?
Sep 17th 2008 7:47AM Yeah, it's probably been around a while but I don't keep track of Hasselhoff news very carefully. :-)
Sep 8th 2008 6:05PM Well, hell. I pulled one at the last minute after it didn't work as promised and i forgot to change the title. Good thing the NFL doesn't rely on me to score games (or the Colts SO would have won last night ;-).
Sep 8th 2008 3:38PM Yikes! Thanks for the catch! Fixed now.
Sep 4th 2008 10:50AM Well, because it came up in conversation behind-the-scenes as a pretty cool app. :-)
I'm happy to review some apps that you're interested in. Name three off the top of your head and I'll check out at least one of them for you. Sound good?
Sep 2nd 2008 6:34PM Yeah, well. No quilt racks for me either. I was taking some poetic license there. :-)
Aug 31st 2008 11:41AM Another niggling hassle with parental controls is that turning them on usually disables access to the iTunes store. I like having the controls in place for my kids but then they're completely unable to use their gift cards at the iTunes store.
Jun 28th 2008 1:37PM Awww, man. I *really wanted to like this, but here's two issues I encountered right off the bat.
1) GTalk doesn't alert you to a new message if you say something to someone, then switch the sidebar screen to, say, your calendar. In fact, when you switch back to the GTalk chat screen it reloads your contact list not takes you back to who you were talking to. FAIL.
2) No in-line spell check (at least not w/ FF3).
Too bad, because the integrated to-do list and very nice interface had me hooked.
Jun 18th 2008 9:53AM I agree about that "taking up the whole screen" nonsense. Apparently, a lot of people don't like it so one of the Skype dudes explained on his blog the reason for it, and how to complain.
Jun 12th 2008 7:09PM Heh, maybe my friend was worth the wait. :-)
Seriously though, I'd been waiting for some info and thought I was finally getting it. Turned out, um, no.
