Jun 22nd 2012 11:19AM Interesting article. Strange foods are often "strange" to some because of crossing culutral lines. I bet a trip to the American hotdog factory might make many realize they eat strange stuff also. The one thing about raw seafood though is that there is risk from microorganisms. Too bad we can't irradiate all of our food.
I used to think menudo was nasty, and I love Mexican food. I ate some once when I was really hungry and fell in love with it. And, actually, the cow's stomach lining is high in protein, low in fat, and has a digestive enzyme that is pleasing to our own stomachs.
If anyone has ever had Mexican chorizo, read the ingredients - the meat product is salivary glands and lymph nodes. Some think haggis is odd? Haha.
Nice article. Sincerely, David Rice
Feb 16th 2011 6:26PM I spent 6 months on the USS Inchon when I was in the Marines. Most people who go on cruises are idiots and have no clue about sea life. The cruise ships are also responsible for many of the mishaps - you don't give undisciplined people alcohol on ships. But that's how the ships make a lot of their money - so they are to blame also.
Jan 10th 2011 7:27AM You never boil anything in plastic in the microwave. The microwave is a convenient appliance, but it should be used only to re-heat food or to make a hot beverage. Making pasta on the stove in a pot is the best way. The reviewer of this product must have gotten a healthy kick-back for the glowing remarks.
Jan 7th 2011 5:07AM Bad decision - you have to strike while the iron is hot. When you play football at that level you can't devote as much time to academics anyway. There will be plenty of time to get a degree later. You can call it a classy move if you want, but it will cost him a lot of $$$.
Jan 6th 2011 1:25PM When you become a priest, you know the rules very well. If he wanted to have a relationship and get married, then you leave the priesthood first. He wants to make it look like what he did was normal. He violated the trust of the church and the people.
Dec 29th 2010 12:57PM All good quarterbacks become great when they have a team behind them - and a great quarterback leads the team to a higher level of performance. There is no one best team in the NFL, there are only great games. 50% of the games are decided by the refs anyway.
Nov 8th 2010 12:56PM Pro football was ruined a long time ago - there is no consistency in the penalties called - the refs decide the outcome of the game. What fun is it watch that? There isn't instant replay on pass interference or roughing the passer. The game is a joke now - and who cares who wins now anyway since they're all multi-millionaires?
Sep 30th 2010 8:51AM I don't care what some detergents claim, always use at least warm water and add a cup of vinegar - your clothes will love you for it.
Jul 21st 2010 7:03PM Rip currents are misunderstood. Don't be an idiot - if you aren't a good swimmer, stay in a swimming pool. Rip currents only kill people who are poor swimmers and don't belong in the ocean. If you're a good swimmer, a rip current won't bother you at all - end of story.
Jul 18th 2010 4:01PM Did you read the whole story? They said that when the person arrested for the failure to appear posts bond, then the collection company gets to keep that. Study harder.
