Daily DIY: Craft a Clay Conifer

Face it -- anything looks beautiful in white; even pinecones! Break out the kids' craft supplies and craft a few of these sweet clay pinecones, courtesy of Design Sponge:
Materials:
1. Crayola Model Magic in White
2. Scissors
3. Credit card, plastic card, or any kind of heavy weight paper
4. Pinecone (for sculpting reference)
7. Toothpick or BBQ skewer

Since snow is now covering the ground where I live, I haven't seen too many birds. If I don't put out some special food for them, they will find somewhere else to find their food, and I won't be seeing much of them until next spring.
Here's a unique idea for a simple bird feeder that I learned about when I owned my feed store. It's a great project for the kids and a wonderful opportunity to discuss animals and nature with them. It's a fun and moderately messy way to keep a few kids busy doing something worth while.
