My husband is a self-proclaimed computer geek. We don't just have a home computer; we have a downstairs server through which all of our incoming and outgoing email is processed. We have an upstairs computer which is the hub we can connect to remotely.

Add two laptops, a wireless router, a docking station, and infinitely many things that I cannot begin to tell you what they are used for, and you have our state-of-the-art wired household.

All of us at one time or another have had too much clutter. Our closets and our cabinets can become virtually overrun with clothing, bedding, or food that we just throw in because we don't have time to properly put it in its spot, or we are just to lazy to do so.

In a wireless world, we sure have a lot of wires strung through the house. They nest behind entertainment units, tucked under carpets down halls into bedrooms and offices. Under the desk you'll find an ugly, overloaded power bar. Unclutter.com has a solution and all you need is a $2 towel rack.

In this video, Jerry Brito shows you how to use a multi-hook towel rack to keep your cables off the floor and more organized. Some commenters think that this method could alter the audio/video signal. They suggest that cables should be lying flat, maybe bound with zip-cords. Others don't see any difference. Personally, I'm all for the towel rack, get them off the floor and out of sight completely.

The over the door hanging shoe organizer. An interesting device, but does anyone really use these things? I'm sure someone does or they wouldn't still be around. They are kind of cool with all their clear plastic pockets and out of the way over the door-ness. Hey! I like this thing but is there any other use for them?

Enter Tipnut. I found two very interesting articles with creative and cleaver uses for this old and quirky device. The first ,and my personal favorite, of these ideas is to hang one from your pantry door. So your kid likes those little toys you get at fast-food places (not that any of us ever eat there, ahem), but you can't stand the sight of them in your house, clogging up the disposal, the VCR, the toaster, your bathtub or toilet, not to mention the floor? How do you get rid of them and still ensure domestic peace and tranquility? Make a deal with your kids and everyone wins.

Decide on a set number of these accursed things you will let in your house, and each time your child brings one home, make a deal with them that you will let them keep if they get rid of another one they already have. Often the "new hotness" will be more alluring than something they have not played with in ages. Usually they will pick the new toy, and not care if they loose a boring one, and you get to have a toy-free, gloriously unclogged toaster and toilet. Sweet!
