I have been with USAA for over 50 years and have both secondary checking and secondary savings accounts there, without any problems. I also have secondary checking and primary savings with Penfed ( PFCU ) and primary checking and secondary savings with a state credit union. Depending on who has the best rates at the time, I move money around.
USAA wouldn't know anything about a warranty claim for a foundation repair. Insurance claim yes, but I wouldn't think they would have any knowledge of a warranty claim unless you went to them first. 10-08-2014, 08:46 PM
USAA bank is a crown jewel in San Antonio, it’s only one company. Houston does have an F500 finance company, you’re just ignoring it. There’s also a lot more insurance firms in HOU than SA. If San Antonio were a major financial hub, the large banks and investment firms would have a major office in San Antonio but they don’t.

I think it was in 1991 or so the Air Force did away with the rank of E-4 Sergeant. Now, an E-4 is a Senior Airman-not an NCO. I am now a relic. So now when I deal with organizations that deal with vets (i.e. The V.A. USAA, etc) when they are filling in my rank they only have E-4 SRA on their forms with no other option.

My checking account interest rate with USAA is 0.01%, essentially pennies on the dollar. This isn't something I'd be fighting over. Unless you have proof that the LL banks with a bank with a significantly higher interest rate (I wonder if that's something you can figure out via the method that you pay rent, etc.), this seems like a lost cause ...
