Below is a list of Delta Sigma Theta (ΔΣΘ) members, commonly referred to as Deltas. The sorority was founded on January 13, 1913, at Howard University and was first incorporated in Washington, D.C., on February 9, 1913. Its graduate chapters are named according to geographic location and "Alumnae" annexed to the service area's name.
Local banker Travis Oliver, acting as trustee, C.E. Woolman and other local investors purchased back the crop-dusting assets of Delta Air Service and incorporated as Delta Air Corporation on December 31, 1930. Woolman was a member of the board of directors for Delta Air Service, and again when Delta Air Corporation formed its board in 1930.
From March 1 to 5, 2013, thousands of members of Delta Sigma Theta participated in the Delta Days at the Nation's Capital. This is an annual event in which members of Delta Sigma Theta travel to Washington, D.C. to discuss pertinent issues that affect women and the Black community with members of Congress.
