Thanks! No. You can call AA and they can usually combine reservations into one reservation, I’ve done it when I pay cash and use miles to buy my boyfriend’s ticket (that was I get miles from my flight :P). Ask the rep though if you still get the free bag benefit.

make sure you’ve allowed a couple of days after booking before double checking with the hotel, but if it gives you peace of mind, give the Hotel a call. Make sure you mention it’s an AA travel booking. I have a trip in May, and both my flight and hotel were booked through AA.

Since you’re 7 months out, you can check back at any time between now and then to see if your preferred seats open back up.
They never asked me my existing AA number so when the card arrived it was linked to a new one. To sort this out, I first called Citi and got the new AA number (Unlike some here I did not get any email with the new number in it ). Since it is a new account my email address was not even linked to it, so could not even login directly/reset password.
It is just that the reservations system uses code from the 1970s for some functions, and they have not figured out how to make that user changeable. This happens with 30-50% of my AA reservations….nothing to worry about - just call, interrupt the announcement by saying “speak to reservations” fairly loudly, and get a callback. 3.
Hello everyone, I booked a Jetblue Itenerary today (without signing into my trueblue account) because I intended to book the jetblue flight and add my AA Frequent Flyer number to it. However, Jetblue.com said my AA Frequent Flyer number was invalid. When I purchased the fare however, it automatically added my trueblue number to the reservation.
