Delta unveiled its profit-sharing program in 2007 as the company emerged from bankruptcy, and employees received their first payout in 2008, totaling $158 million.
It’s a benefit they’ve continued since a brief pause in 2020. This year, Delta gave employees $1.4 billion under the model through a bonus check that amounted to over 10% of their annual salary.
