Bancroft is located in northeastern Jefferson County. It is bordered to the north by Old Brownsboro Place, to the south by Graymoor-Devondale, and to the east and west by Louisville. It is 10 miles (16 km) east of downtown Louisville. According to the United States Census Bureau, Bancroft has a total area of 0.15 square miles (0.39 km 2), all land.
In 1911, Manual became the first school in Kentucky to serve lunches to students. [6] In 1913, Louisville Public Schools announced a plan to merge Manual and its rival Male High School into Louisville Boys High so that the two schools could share a new $300,000 facility. The plan took effect in 1915.
Muhammad Ali Boulevard is a street located in downtown Louisville, Kentucky. The street was renamed in 1978 after Muhammad Ali, a Louisville native with a highly successful Olympic and professional boxing career. Ali was three time world heavyweight champion.
