Since the establishment of the team in 1892, Wyoming has appeared in 19 bowl games. The latest bowl appearance was on December 30, 2023, when Wyoming won against to Toledo University in the Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl. The win brought the Cowboys' overall bowl record to ten wins and nine losses (10–9).

The 2021 Wyoming Cowboys football team represented the University of Wyoming in the 2021 NCAA Division I FBS football season.
