    I lived on STJ for 5 years. I did not spend anytime alone on STT at night but then again I would never do that in a city in the states. Jamaica at night was truly scary and I would not want to be alone at night in some small Mexican towns even if I was carrying. In my opinion, your comment is overkill. The VI's are as safe as using common sense.
