Delta Lambda Phi (ΔΛΦ; officially the Delta Lambda Phi Social Fraternity; DLP or Lambda) is an international social fraternity for gay, bisexual, transgender and progressive men. The fraternity was founded in 1986 in Washington, D.C. [3] [4] It offers a social environment and structure similar to other Greek-model college fraternities.
In 1934, Phi Beta Delta absorbed the UPenn chapter of Omicron Alpha Tau, a smaller Jewish fraternity that was dispersing that year. This group either merged with the existing Phi Beta Delta chapter on the campus, or re-established it. Four of ΟΑΤ 's other chapters went to Tau Delta Phi. Richard Feynman joined the fraternity in 1935 when at MIT.
Local banker Travis Oliver, acting as trustee, C.E. Woolman and other local investors purchased back the crop-dusting assets of Delta Air Service and incorporated as Delta Air Corporation on December 31, 1930. Woolman was a member of the board of directors for Delta Air Service, and again when Delta Air Corporation formed its board in 1930.
