St. Lawrence College (SLC) is a College of Applied Arts and Technology [6] with three campuses in Eastern Ontario, namely Brockville (1970), Cornwall (1968) and Kingston (founded September 1969). It is affiliated with private Alpha College of Business & Technology in Toronto and Canadian College in Vancouver.
Conestoga Wood Specialties is a manufacturer of wood doors and components for kitchen, bath and furniture, based in East Earl, Pennsylvania. They have five factories, located in Washington , North Carolina , and Pennsylvania , employing about 1,200 people.
The institution was established in 1943 as the Royal Canadian Air Force War Staff College. The site was originally a property named Strathrobyn that was owned by real estate developer Frederick Burton Robins (1866–1948), [1] and the centrepiece was a large Tudor Revival mansion which was built around 1914 pursuant to a design by the architectural firm of George & Moorhouse. [2]
In the planning stages, the multi-amenity park had been called Millennium Recreation Park, however the name RIM Park was chosen to acknowledge the large contributions from its primary donor, the employees of Research In Motion (RIM) (doing business as BlackBerry Limited since January 2013), who contributed $2 million in 2001.
