Sprint Corporation and T-Mobile US merged in 2020 in an all shares deal for $26 billion. The deal was announced on April 29, 2018. The Sprint brand was discontinued by T-Mobile on August 2, 2020.
T-Mobile is buying U.S. Cellular's wireless operations and certain spectrum assets in a deal valued at $4.4 billion, and further consolidating the industry.
Under the deal, T-Mobile will acquire all of U.S. Cellular’s wireless customers and stores. The deal also includes up to $2 billion in debt.
T-Mobile announced Tuesday that it plans to acquire most of U.S. Cellular, including stores, some of the wireless operator’s spectrum and its customers.
