Never Ending Tour 2009: March 22 – November 19, 2009 97 The tour started in Stockholm, Sweden at an intimate concert at Berns Salonger. Dylan performed five concerts in England. One of which was at the Roundhouse in London which was a concert especially for the members of the BobDylan.com fan club.
The Never Ending Tour is the popular name for Bob Dylan 's ongoing touring schedule which began on June 7, 1988. [1][2] During the course of the tour, musicians have come and gone as the band has continued to evolve. The tour amassed a huge fan base with some fans traveling from around the world to attend as many Dylan shows as possible.
The tour began on 3 January 1974 at Chicago Stadium, with Dylan pleasing his die-hard fans by opening with “Hero Blues”, an obscurio he’d demoed in 1963 but wouldn’t release until 2010.
The European tour finished the next day in Limerick, Ireland. [7] After touring Europe Dylan returned home to the United States for a month-long summer tour beginning on August 4 in Austin, Texas and ending on September 4 in Seattle, Washington and Bumbershoot. John Mellencamp was Dylan's co-headliner for approximately half of the shows. [8]
