Saint Viator High School is a private Catholic co-educational secondary school run by the Clerics of Saint Viator in Arlington Heights, Illinois.It was founded by Father Louis Querbes and opened in 1961 to serve as a college-preparatory school for students from the northwest suburbs of Chicago, which is part of the Archdiocese of Chicago.
In 1901, the Board of Education decreed that the school day would run from 9:00 a.m. – 12 noon, and from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. with a 15-minute recess each session. On July 30, 1903, the first telephone in School District 170 was placed in the office of the Superintendent of Schools at a cost of $18 per year.
Marian Catholic is a member of the East Suburban Catholic Conference and participates in state tournaments sponsored by the Illinois High School Association. The school sponsors interscholastic sports teams for both men and women in basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, tennis, track and field, and volleyball.
