After stabilizing as a local, it became part of a two-chapter group called Sigma Tau Delta ΣΤΔ, , banding with a CUNY Brooklyn chapter that had also been jettisoned from Pi Alpha Tau, and which had adopted the Sigma Tau Delta name. The two chapters joined as ΣΤΔ between 1950 and before 1960 - maybe officially in 1957.
