I was attempting to print a label for an order and ran into an issue I haven't encountered before. The address shows USPS verified in green as usual but inside a big red square it says This address is invalid. Update address to purchase labels. Of course I emailed the customer and I am waiting to hear back. Has anyone had this happen to them?
USPS is doing everything it can to encourage customers — especially customers who run businesses — to do less business at the post office counter. It's a way of controlling costs — a post office clerk who takes the time to process your payment, etc. costs them money. So they save money if you print your postage at home.

I did not change my shipping profile and never had this problem before today. All of my Free Shipping orders are now showing as USPS Priority Mail even though the customers did not pay for the upgrade. When I go to print my labels on ETSY it defaults to Priority Mail and will charge me if I don't catch it and change it to First Class Package Mail.
Long story short, the item still hasn't made any progress in shipping and I file an on-line inquiry with USPS. I purchased the shipping labels through ETSY and the USPS website automatically populates a lot of the information based off the tracking. To my SHOCK and HORROR, the purchase price of the label was $38, not the $76+ that ETSY charged me.
As far as shipping, I insure everything, either with USPS, and always send priority, or UPS shipping from a local drop off site. I also, help out by filing a claim, which makes it easier on the buyer, plus assures me that it was filed correctly and I can follow and see the claim status, and follow up every 24 hrs~.
Items that are heavy (example: clawfoot tub feet) but will fit within a USPS flat rate box reducing shipping cost for buyers living thousands of miles away? It sure would be nice to minimize shipping refunds, the back and forth convos for quotes and increase sales when a buyer can select a cheaper option shipping to their zip code right then ...
The possessive from of "U.S." is U.S.' Possessives of abbreviations are formed exactly the same way they would be if the noun was spelled out completely. The single possessive is formed by adding an -'s to the end of the noun. The plural possessive is formed by just adding an apostrophe to the end of the noun. This is where it gets a little tricky. The "United States" is a singular noun, we ...
